Yes, she was late

He said "what a beautiful name to match such a beautiful smile"... so corny, we know! but that is Chris for you... Super romantic, corny and sweet. Meanwhile, Tati over here has a big heart but can be a little... forward, you know her.. but with a big big heart. So it all started on April 2015... we started talking and getting to know each other, Tati traveled to France, Colombia before getting back to the UK to have their first date... which for her.. it was just a 10 min at a Starbucks by the service stations. She phrased it "Lets not waste each others time, we would know if there is chemistry or not in the first 5 minutes, the other 5 just complementary and done" .. May 4th, 2015, sure came sooner than expected.. after a flight being delayed and guilt building inside (we mentioned Tati has a big heart)... she had to change those 10 minutes to a 3 hours, that Starbucks for a whole dinner... We had our first date at The Mills House in Hook, UK... Let me tell you.. they didn't have steak... or good wine.. And this is how it all got started...

Tati surprises Chris

As you all have seen it, Tati went to the UK in October 2018 to surprise Chris. She told him she was feeling super ill and was going to sleep during the afternoon. Chris worried but understanding told her to turn the phone off and try to get some rest, he was headed for bed himself.. remember time difference. Well, little did Chris know that Tati had a GREAT and AMAZING ally.. Susie Berry! (Chris mum) they had both planned that they needed to make sure that Chris was at home, and that he was looking dashing!.. so why not tell a little white lie?... Susie told Chris that she had a wedding to go to, and it would mean the world to her if he went with her... so he went got a haircut and was all suit up... Susie then told Chris, she needed to get her hair done and will be coming to pick him up... Meanwhile she went to pick up Tati at the airport and brought her home... He was so surprised! he event said &%$# hahahah! He does never use bad words no no...

And this is how it went down...

Our Story

After Tati had surprised Chris, little did she know that he had already planned everything ... just had to move it up a couple of weeks! It all started by taking Tati to the place he asked her parents her hand on marriage! They played Scrabble and drank wine.. such a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Then Oct 31st, 2018 came... I woke up to flowers brought by him with a little note that had a question about their relationship. I hate to say this, but he does that all the time... he is the sweetest and romantic guy any girl would want! No I didn't think anything or had any idea he was going to propose! ... Later on, we headed to Windsor Castle, a place I have always wanted to see, we were so lucky that the day was perfect sunny weather! They had the exhibition of the Royal Wedding from May, it was just magical walking through the historical building with so much history and so romantic. We had a great lunch in a beautiful Italian place, and then he gave me a little gift with another little note. This time was a little Elephant.. so nice and cute. (A little back history on this is that Tati had a giant elephant called Edgar, an Chris has been looking after Edgar ever since she moved to the USA. Also, added to that, when Chris told her he loved her, he gave her a beautiful little plush cow.) Back to our story... After having had lunch, he said he would like to take me on a date since we hadn't been on one for ages. So, we went shopping for a little black dress, then I made the effort of putting make up and doing my hair... I was still not suspecting anything as again.. he shouldn't have time to prepare anything since I surprised him. It took hours to get ready hahaha.. always on Colombian time...

Would he pop the question?

He started driving and gave me another note asking me about my favorite places and dates we have had together. When we arrived to the restaurant, I realized that it was the same restaurant where we had our first date. I asked him to take a picture together since we hadn't been there in ages! and it was so pretty. Then he took me to a spot was I thought better lighting... (If you know Chris you know how important that is for a picture haha) When we were in what I thought was better light, he gave me a little bag, he was shaking... the bag had a little bottle that had a note... the note was beautiful and next thing you know.. he was down on one knee and ask the BIG QUESTION! All I know its that I couldn't breathe and that I started laughing... giggling... and Chris was really trying to get an answer hahaha. And that's how he did it!! I loved how he brought me to our first date place, how he used the little bottle which has been part of our story as we had to have long distance for a while and I sent him messages through bottles.. obviously they didn't sail.. they were just purchased in Amazon duh... how when I went on our first date I threw this little bag of candies at him because I was late... and he gave me this little bag in the same spot... I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Just perfect, so us.. so beautiful so amazing.. and that is how it happened....
